EMDR Therapy

Grounded in neuroscience and the brain’s natural healing abilities, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps in reprocessing distressing memories, allowing you to break free from the past and move toward freedom, resilience, and well-being.

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based approach that helps people heal from trauma, reduce emotional distress, and reprocess painful memories to unlock peace and balance in their life.

It involves the use of bilateral stimulation, often in the form of eye movements, to aid in the healing process. For many, this form of treatment provides almost immediate relief.

How Can EMDR Help You?

EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation through various methods, such as eye movements, audio cues, or sensory taps. These methods activate your brain's natural healing processes, allowing your mind to rewire how painful memories have been stored in your body. As your brain works through and reframes difficult memories, you begin to release the pain that's been trapped in your nervous system, helping you feel more free, at peace, and in control.

Who is EMDR
For?

Everyone.

Everyone can benefit from EMDR!

However, for those who are ready to dig a little deeper, challenge old patterns, and make a real commitment to healing, then EMDR is especially for you. Let's face it, talk therapy doesn't always cut it, especially if you're struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, or unresolved emotional wounds. Step into EMDR and experience an evidence-based practice that will help you break free from the past. If you're ready to invest in yourself and take the next step toward living a life with more peace, control, and emotional freedom, book a FREE consultation!

How Effective is EMDR?

No two experiences are the same. Everyone is unique, despite us all having a nervous system and a brain. How we process and experience things is entirely personal. That being said, EMDR progress can vary from person to person. For some, positive changes may begin to surface in as little as three sessions, while others with more complex trauma may take longer to see significant shifts.

EMDR has been shown through extensive research to significantly reduce symptoms of trauma and PTSD, with many clients experiencing lasting improvements in a relatively short amount of time. It’s a therapy that’s been endorsed by leading organizations like the American Psychological Association, the World Health Organization, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, all of which recognize it as a highly effective treatment for trauma-related disorders.

Hear what others are saying...

Many people ask, "But how will I know when it works? Or... "This sounds too good to be true."

We understand the hesitancy, so here are some shared words about the process:

" It's like I have a basket of memories and in it is this memory, blending in, neither standing out nor overpowering the others... it's just another memory."

Not Quite Convinced Yet?

We don't blame you.

Let's clear the air… you may be hesitant jumping into a new approach. Maybe you're here looking for something different. You may have even tried different therapists and different approaches, however still feel stuck in the same cycle. At this point, you’ve probably tried it all, and no matter what, you somehow end up in the same space of “talk therapy.” You feel better for a moment, but then you find yourself wondering, "Why am I still struggling with my past?"

Cue EMDR. EMDR is not like traditional talk therapy. We don't talk endlessly about daily topics or your trauma. In fact, we don’t do much talking at all. Instead, we focus on the power of "noticing" and trusting the wisdom of your brain. The goal isn’t to talk and relive every detail of your past, but to allow your brain to process and release feelings, thoughts, and sensations that have been stuck in your mind, body, and spirit.

With EMDR, we are working to rewire your brain on how it has stored painful memories, so you can move forward and finally live a life worth living. Are you ready? Take the next big step and book a consultation call!
